Wedgie Awards 2016

Hello, one and all.

Sorry for the lack of content recently, work has picked up and having to deal with unforeseen issues like Wedgie Haven's system being changed and eventually went back to the old system and corrupting the text files of my series. And I apologise for that, but I don't want to work on new content when a place I post to no longer has the full story. I'm still working on that and hopefully can start continuing work on Chatoru's story and Tales of the Wasteland.

But that's not what this journal post is for.

Earlier today I saw a journal entry by the one and only, And so he has made reference to the wedgie awards from last year and this year. (Thanks for the reminder)

Well, last year I missed the awards as I didn't realise they were going on, but that changes this year as I would like to invite everyone (no, not literally) to come and join in on the fun. No, you don't have to vote for me or my series. I just simply like to see what the outcomes are and see the nominations. Unfortunately, I've been pretty busy for the last while and can only think of a few nominations, so come on in and make your voices heard.

I know I had fun with this last year, I seem to recall some others did too. So I thought I'd do it again!
So here's the deal, the goal is for the LuckyFetish community to determine the winners of the following categories:
Contributor of the Year The member of the wedgie community that has best contributed to the community
Pop Culture Video of the Year The best video that contains a wedgie(s), but was not made specifically for the wedgies. The best examples are blogs and TV shows.
Professional Video of the Year The best video in which individuals were paid with the explicit purpose to cater to the wedgie community.
Visual Artist of the Year The individual who contributed the best visual art to the wedgie community.
Illustration of the Year The best illustration contributed to the wedgie community
Writer of the Year The author who contribute the best language-based art to the wedgie community
Story of the Year The best ongoing story involving wedgies contributed to the wedgie community
Short Story of the Year The best one-off story involving wedgies contributed to the wedgie community
Obviously these all need to pertain to the year 2016 specifically and needs to follow all standard LuckyFetish rules. Right now let's start by taking nominations. Feel free to nominate as many pieces to as many categories as you want. If we get inundated with nominations, I will prioritize those that were seconded or nominated more than once. Then I will start removing nominations based on the order they were listed so LIST YOUR NOMINATIONS IN ORDER OF PRIORITY WITH YOUR HIGHEST LISTED FIRST.
Starting on December 26th, we will open the polls and give people one week to vote before New Year's Day, at which point the winners will be declared.
In addition to nominations, please feel free to use this thread to discuss rule ideas or express concerns or disagreements with the process. I will alter things based on purely democratic outcome so if multiple people think we should make or change a particular rule and no one opposes them, I will do it.
Things to consider:
Should the short story category be split into Fiction/Non-Fiction?
Should limit nominations to content that was submitted to this website (particularly the contributor of the year award)?
Should we start the voting process earlier (say the 19th)?
Are there additional categories you wish to see?
Do any of these categories seem superfluous/unnecessary?

And for a closing remark, can't wait to see who is nominated and who everyone votes for. Let's make this community better with each passing year and celebrate the contributions with each year.
